AFA Update 22 (2023): IFAC Sustainability Virtual Summit – Asia Pacific (27-28 September)

We are pleased to share with you the AFA Update 22 (2023)

Under the leadership of IFAC, AFA successfully co-hosted the first IFAC Sustainability Virtual Summit - Asia Pacific, focusing on sustainability reporting (day 1) and sustainability assurance (day 2). Day 1's discussion focuses on adoption and implementation of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2, while day looked into the IAASB's proposed International Standard on Sustainability Assurance (ISSA) 5000, General Requirements for Sustainability Assurance Engagements. Among the key resources persons participated at the summit were representatives of IFAC, ISSB, IAASB, and sustainability experts and practitioners from the Asia-Pacific region.

AFA is currently drafting our comment letter for the ISSA 5000 and would like to remind you to share your preliminary inputs and any relevant thoughts on the proposed standard.
